About AMDR

AMDR is client-centred and focuses on the importance of building strong rapport in working with clients. Safety and trust are paramount in the therapeutic alliance when working with those suffering from anxiety, trauma, depression and other mental health challenges.

AMDR prioritises safety for clients to “exit their cave” of trauma and anxiety by applying the latest techniques supported by neuroscience research on working memory, the nervous system and emotions.

“We believe trauma affects the whole human system, so to be really effective, trauma healing needs to be addressed on all levels - physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.”

AMDR is an original and unique approach to trauma healing and release. The AMDR processes, protocols and resources are created and developed by Joshua and Gill. These include breakthrough self-help techniques to enable clients to build and strengthen their inner resources as they work through trauma and shame on the road back to safety and peace.

Applied Memory Deconsolidation and Reconsolidation (AMDR) is a structured therapy approach providing trauma-informed training to a variety of mental health therapists, counsellors and coaching professionals.

AMDR consists of a unique combination of elements from EMDR, Hypnotherapy, Mindfulness, NLP/Timeline, Somatic Psychotherapy, Chi Gong, Tapping, Breathing, Parts integration and more.
